WELCOME to CSA love.

WELCOME to CSAlove.

{a platform for exploring the bounty of the CSA}

CSALove is a platform for sharing the bounty of Community Supported Agriculture.

The site, art exhibit and the accompanying events expolore the unique experiential benefits of eating through a CSA membership and other direct farmer-to-eater systems.

Through imagery, poetry, pickling, and gathering, we connect to our food systems, farmers, the land, and each other.

  • Tip 7 from “10 Easy Steps to Incorporate more Local & Seasonal Food into your Diet”

    from Asparagus to Zucchini

    Learn how to substitute.  This is a great way to incorporate unfamiliar foods into your diet while enjoying your favorite dishes.  For example, substitute the long-storing celeriac root for celery in the winter.  Try baking with local honey or maple syrup instead of can sugar, which is grown in southern climates and uses large amounts of chemicals.  Winter salads can have wonderful flavor and color with local sprouts and grated winter vegetables rather than lettuce shipped from California.  Treat recipes as a starting point from which ideas can be generated, instead of something that must be followed exactly.
